Westfleisch Magyarorszag Kereskedelmi Kft. is a Hungarian subsidiary of Westfleisch, a leading international meat distributor based in Münster, Germany. The company was established in 2005 and primarily focuses on selling pre-cooled and frozen pork and beef products in the Hungarian market, as well as in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, and Serbia. Westfleisch is known for its activities in livestock slaughter, butchering, product manufacturing, and the production of gas-protected products. The company operates as a cooperative, originally founded in 1928 as a livestock producer cooperative. It is owned by approximately 4,700 producers from northwestern Germany and the Netherlands. Through cooperation agreements, Westfleisch ensures the quality and product safety throughout the entire production and manufacturing process. With its production output and around 1,900 employees, Westfleisch is considered the third-largest slaughterhouse group in Germany and one of the top five leading meat distributors in Europe.
