Zagrebacka Burza d.d., located in Zagreb, is a joint stock company that was officially registered on July 5, 1991. It was established as a result of an initiative launched on December 25, 1989, during a meeting of the founding committee of the Zagreb Stock Exchange. The initiative was attended by representatives of banks from the Socialist Republic of Croatia and the Association of Persons and Property Insurance Croatia. The Agreement on the Establishment of the Zagreb Capital Market was signed on April 19, 1990, and the Assembly of the Zagreb Capital Market was held on April 18, 1991. The Yugoslav Securities Commission approved the start of operations of the Zagreb Stock Exchange on May 31, 1991.
