Croatia-based KentBank d.d. began operations in 1998 under the name Stedionica Brod d.d. It was renamed to Banka Brod d.d. in 2002. Its name was changed to KentBank in 2012 after a majority stake in the lender was purchased by Turkish firm Eksen Holding. The Turkish firm acquired through its parent company, Suzek Group, a 70.61% stake in the Croatian bank for some EUR 9.5 million in mid-2011. Later the same year it increased its stake to 80.8% in another deal worth some EUR 1.4 million.
KentBank d.d. offers universal banking services to individuals and legal entities through its network of nine branches across Croatia. The shares of KentBank d.d. are traded on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
