Allianz Hrvatska d.d. is a company located in Zagreb, Croatia. It was established in 1999 when the German company Allianz, together with Zagrebačka banka, acquired the former Adriatic osiguranje. At the time of the acquisition, Allianz Zagreb d.d. had a market share of 4.6%. Over the years, Allianz has experienced consistent business growth in Croatia, with growth rates significantly higher than the rest of the market. Currently, Allianz holds over 13% market share and is the second-largest insurance company in Croatia. In addition to insurance, Allianz, in partnership with Zagrebačka banka, actively participated in the pension reform in 2001. That same year, AZ obvezni mirovinski fond (mandatory pension fund) was established, followed by the AZ dobrovoljni mirovinski fondovi (voluntary pension funds) a year later. These pension funds are the leading funds in their respective segments in the Croatian market, with approximately 40% market share. Bank insurance products are available to customers in all Zagrebačka banka branches. Continuing its successful operations in Croatia, Allianz expanded its business to asset management in May 2009 with the launch of the first two investment funds: Cash and Portfolio. In 2012, the Equity fund was also introduced, further diversifying the company's operations into asset management.
