Intravenous Infusions Limited (IIPL) is a Ghanaian pharmaceutical company located in Koforidua. The company was incorporated in 1969 and started operations in 1974 as the first pharmaceutical company in Ghana to produce intravenous infusions. IIPL is the market leader in Ghana and the West African sub-region for producing and distributing intravenous fluids. IIPL was established to address the lack of local production of infusions in Ghana and the country's reliance on imports. The company's production process is highly regulated and certified by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) and the Factory Inspectorate Division. Additionally, its wholesale and distribution activities are regulated by the Pharmacy Council under the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013, Act 857. With over 150 employees, IIPL is one of the largest private sector employers in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The company plays a crucial role in the health delivery programs of the Ghana Ministry of Health, private hospitals, and institutions such as the Ghana Armed Forces, Police Service, and Mission Hospitals.
