Paints and Chemical Industries Company (PACHIN) was established in 1958 as a joint-stock company and was nationalized in 1961. In 1962 and 1963 Ammonia & Chemical Co., Hinshold Paints & Oil Co. and Bahari Paints Co. were merged with PACHIN. The company is engaged in the production, marketing and distribution of paints, industrial chemicals, printing inks, animal extracts and other related products. Its manufacturing plant is located in Al Obour city. PACHIN’s products are divided into three categories: decorative paints (emulsion paints, synthetic paints, wood varnishes, surface preparation products and special effects products); industrial paints (protective paints, automotive paint, marines paint and wood paint); and printing inks (offset, web offset and varnishes, flexo and rotogravure inks, metal coating and silk screen).
