Inversancarlos S.A. is a company located in Guayaquil, Ecuador. It was legally established on February 28, 1961, with founding partners including American companies W.R. Grace INC., International Paper CO., Sociedad Agrícola e Industrial San Carlos S.A., and the Noboa Organization. The company began operations in 1968, producing 10,000 metric tons of kraft paper per year and setting up a plant for sugarcane bagasse pulp to utilize raw materials generated by the San Carlos Sugar Mill for paper manufacturing. Over the years, the factory's production capacity has been expanded, new equipment has been acquired, and technology has been incorporated into fiber control and preparation processes. Currently, the company produces 165,000 metric tons of kraft paper per year and has the capacity to serve over 100 million corrugated cardboard boxes for banana exports, agro-exportation, flowers, shrimp, fishing, and general industry. Cartonera Nacional S.A. is a subsidiary of Inversancarlos, specializing in the manufacture of Testliners and medium corrugated cardboard. It was established to vertically integrate the business and has been serving the needs of the corrugated cardboard industry in Ecuador and the Andean region since 1968. The Cartonera plant was constructed in the Industrial Park South complex in Villa Rica, Cauca. Construction began in March 2003, and the first cardboard boxes were produced in October of the same year. Cartonera Nacional has gained a reputation for providing high-quality paper, particularly for customers requiring strong packaging for export products. The company is well-regarded by its customers for its excellent reputation in terms of quality and service.
