Letiste Praha A. S., located in Prague, is the operator of the most significant international airport in the Czech Republic. Letiste Praha employs approximately 2,400 employees, and other companies operating at or connected to the airport employ an estimated 14,000 people. Letiste Praha A. S. was established in February 2008 as part of the privatization transformation from the state enterprise Sprava Letiste Praha, s.p. From 2011 to 2018, Letiste Praha A. S. was incorporated into the holding structure of the Czech Aeroholding group. In 2018, the group's structure was simplified, and selected holding companies, including Czech Aeroholding, were abolished, with their assets transferred to the successor company, Letiste Praha. The company is governed by a four-member board of directors and a six-member supervisory board. Letiste Praha closely collaborates with the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic, airlines, public administration bodies in the aviation sector and beyond, and other airport users. It also collaborates with the city of Prague and neighboring municipalities. Four carriers, Smartwings, Ryanair, Eurowings, and Czech Airlines, use Letiste Vaclava Havla Praha as their base.
