The sugar refinery Vrbátky was established in 1870 as a first share agrarian sugar refinery in Moravia. In this form had been operating until 1948 when put under state ownership and became a part of a state company, associating sugar refineries of south and central Moravia. Since 1.5.1992 operates sugar refinery Vrbátky as a self-contained share company. In addition to sugar production and its modification, is the company involved in trade, gastronomy, road transport, intermediation activities and food production. The company is registered on RM System.
