ATAS Elektromotory Nachod A.S. is a company located in Nachod, Czech Republic. It was founded in 1928 by Antonín Taichman as an electrical factory. The company specializes in the production of small power electric motors and fans. In 1948, it was nationalized and renamed MEZ Nachod. After privatization in 1989, the company became an joint-stock company and reverted to its original name, ATAS, in 1994. ATAS has two facilities, one in Nachod and one in Velké Poříčí. The company manufactures a wide range of products, including single-phase asynchronous motors, three-phase asynchronous motors, direct current motors, axial and radial fans, gear motors, tachodynamas, resolvers, dental micro motors, and motors for the aviation industry. ATAS also offers the production of cutting tools for electrical sheet metal, molds for aluminum pressure casting, and molds for plastic parts. The company follows the ČSN EN ISO 9001 quality management system and has been certified by EZÚ Prague since 1996.
