Fondo Nacional de Ahorro (National Savings Fund) was established in 1968 to administrate the severance pay of public employees and officials. In 1998 it was transformed into an industrial and commercial state company which enabled it to expand its market to private sector. It aims to turn the savings into solution to the needs of higher education and housing to its affiliates. It offers housing loans, education loans, voluntary savings funds.
