Fondo Nacional Cacaotero (Colombia)

Federación Nacional de Cacaoteros is an organization in the agricultural sector, focused on the development and support of cacao cultivation through innovation, technology transfer, and the renewal of crops. The company represents and protects the interests of Colombian cacao producers, offering rural extension research and product marketing services at the national and international level. They aim to strengthen the promotion of Colombian cacao in the international market and support cocoa producers in implementing Good Agricultural Practices. The company also works on the selection and evaluation of materials of agronomic interest and the integrated health management of cacao cultivation. The Colombian cacao industry has reached historical figures, with an annual production obtained from the exploitation of around 90,000 hectares sowed in 24,500 fincas. The company is also involved in acquiring chemical synthesis fertilizer for the strengthening of the productive activity of cacao cultivation.
