With the founding of Eternit Colombiana SA on May 21st, 1942; began the asbestos cement industry in Colombia with a factory on the outskirts of Bogota. The company belongs to the holding Elementia and is dedicated to the manufacture of tiles and other items related to infrastructure, such as tanks and water distribution pipes. Currently have three production factories located in Cali, Bogota and Barranquilla from where it distributes its products to the country and other countries like Panama, Aruba, Costa Rica, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador and the Netherlands Antilles.
