The cooperative company was founded in September 29, 1979 under the name Coojurisdiccional, in order to provide employees and their families with welfare, safety and progress. In 1998 it changed its name to the name of JURISCOOP and in 2003 it began with the collection of savings, and in the following year it was structured as Business Group. Today the cooperative organization is a business group called JURISCOOP and is comprised of six companies: Cooperative JURISCOOP as a mother company; Financiera JURISCOOP; Juristours, travel agency, Hotel Casa Grande, located in Santa Marta, Fundación Progreso Solidario and Services & Consulting - Juriservicios S.A.
