Bavaria & Cia S.C.A (Colombia)

Bavaria S.A. is the largest beverage company in Colombia and the second largest beer producer in South America. Its brands are leaders in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Panama. Bavaria is the parent company of the GEB (Grupo Empresarial Bavaria) and in the period 1981 to 2007 was registered in the Colombia Stock Exchange. The GEB also sells malt beverages. From October 28, 2005, Bavaria is part of SABMiller, the world's second largest brewer by volume, with operations on four continents and a production of over 170 million hectoliters of beer annually with more than 170 brands.
Bavaria has six geographically distributed breweries in Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Tunja, Medellin, Tocancipá and Yumbo, the latter Cervecería del Valle is the most modern and efficient in Latin America. There are also two malting plants in Cartagena and Tibitó (Cundinamarca), a tap factory and a label factory.
