Seguros de Vida Colpatria S.A. was founded on January 30, 1959. It offers a broad portfolio of products and branches composed of individual life insurance, health insurance, personal accident insurance, insurance education, insurance for the care of accident, group life insurance and group insurance and annuity. On August 8, 2013 the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia, authorized the demerger of the companies: Seguros Colpatria S.A., Seguros de Vida Colpatria S.A. and Capitalizadora Colpatria S.A. with the condition that the new companies will be capitalized once the division is complete. This process will create three new entities: Barlie Global Inc., Gieran SA and Banderato Corp., which will be registered in Panama. In addition, the stakes currently held by the companies in Banco Colpatria S.A., Brunate Holding Inc. and Mineros S.A.will be transferred to the new entities.
