The Company engages in the development and sale of beauty products under the brands of Perfect Diary, Little Ondine, and Abby s Choice in the People s Republic of China.
The Company is a China-based beauty group with the mission of creating an exciting new journey of beauty discovery for consumers around the world. Founded in 2016, the Company has launched and acquired numerous color cosmetics and skincare brands including Perfect Diary, Little Ondine, Abby's Choice, Galenic, DR.WU (its mainland China business), Eve Lom, Pink Bear and EANTiM. Its flagship brand, Perfect Diary, is one of the leading color cosmetics brands in China in terms of online retail sales value. Leveraging its digitally native direct-to-customer business model, the Company built a platform with core capabilities which enables it to launch and scale multiple brands quickly while offering a wide selection of products to a growing variety of customers. The Company primarily reaches and engages with customers directly both online and offline, with expansive presence across all major e-commerce, social and content platforms in China.
The Company has only one operating segment.
The Company s Diverse Brand Portfolio:
- Color cosmetics brands consist of Perfect Diary, Little Ondine and Pink Bear, which offer a broad range of color cosmetics products, including eye, face and lip products to provide its customers a full-spectrum of beauty experience.
- Skincare brands include Abby's Choice, Galenic, DR.WU (mainland China business), Eve Lom and EANTiM, which offer products featuring high-quality formulas, ingredients and packaging.
HISTORY
2016 The Company was incorporated in the Cayman Islands on September 12, 2016 under the name Mangrove Bay Ecommerce Holding (Cayman) .
2019 The Company changed its name to Yatsen Holding Limited in January 2019.
2020 On November 19, 2020, The Company completed its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol of YSG .
2021 In January 2021, The Company acquired the mainland China business of DR.WU, a dermatologist skincare brand. The Company leveraged its brand equity, proven products and formulations, combined with its DTC model and platform capabilities,and achieved significant sales growth over the past year.
In March 2021, The Company acquired Eve Lom, a prestige skincare brand from Manzanita Capital. Eve Lom combines high quality natural ingredients with the latest scientific innovations to create a radiance effect on the skin. In March 2021, the Company also launched the brand Pink Bear targeting teens and price-sensitive young adults in the lower mass color cosmetics market.
In October 2021, The Company acquired EANTiM, a professional-channel skincare brand. Founded in 2018 by a team with extensive background in the pharmaceutical and skincare sectors, EANTiM develops products focused on improving skin health via the emerging field of microbiome.
