Sociedad de Rentas Comerciales S.A. is a real estate company located in Santiago, Chile. It was incorporated in 1984 when Prodeco Ltda. transformed into a real estate company to transfer properties used by Sodimac for its commercial activities. The company's main objective is the acquisition, buying, selling, and exploitation of real estate, as well as other civil or commercial activities agreed upon by the partners. Prodeco became the main real estate company providing properties to Sodimac and later expanded to include other tenants. In 1992, Prodeco acquired approximately 20 hectares of land in La Serena for a commercial project. In 1997, Inmobiliaria Prodeco was divided, giving rise to Inmobiliaria La Serena Ltda., which was assigned the La Serena lands. In the same year, construction began on what is now Mall Puerta del Mar, which opened in 1998. In 2003, Prodeco sold some of the properties where Sodimac operated to Falabella's real estate company due to the merger of Sodimac and S.A.C.I. Falabella. Prodeco continued to lease other properties to Sodimac and other commercial operators. In 2010, Sociedad Inmobiliaria Vespucio S.A. was formed to group all the properties used by Derco, the automotive business of the Del Rio brothers. This separated the real estate business entirely from the group's commercial operations and placed them under three real estate companies. In 2011, a merger process began, consolidating all the real estate companies into Inmobiliaria La Serena Ltda., which changed its name to Sociedad de Rentas Comerciales S.A.
