Sociedad Nacional De Oleoductos S.A., also known as Sonacol, is a company located in Santiago, Chile. Since 1957, Sonacol has been serving the country's energy system by providing a vital transportation system for the productive activities in the central zone. The company operates a connected system of pipelines, spanning 465 kilometers, which offers the best alternative for the transportation of products to and from storage plants and refineries. Sonacol's infrastructure consists of four pipelines that transport gasoline, diesel, and kerosene, as well as two pipelines for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The company also operates seven pumping stations, four product delivery terminals, and a Maintenance Center in Maipú. As the owner of the transportation systems connecting the country to supply routes from the Pacific Ocean and the main refineries, Sonacol plays a vital role in transporting liquid fuels and LPG required by millions of people, particularly in the Metropolitan Region. The network of pipelines extends from Quintero in the north to San Fernando in the south. It includes two lines dedicated to transporting LPG and clean products (gasoline 93 and 97, diesel A1, aviation kerosene, and domestic kerosene) between Quintero and Concón, two lines between Concón and Maipú for the same services, a line between San Fernando and Maipú for clean products, which can operate bidirectionally, and a line between Maipú and the Airport for aviation kerosene.
