Empresa Portuaria de Iquique (EPI) is a state-owned company with its own assets and indefinite duration. It is related to the Government of Chile through the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications. The management of EPI is carried out by the System of Public Enterprises (SEP), whose council appoints its directors. The main objective of EPI is the administration, operation, development, and conservation of the Port of Iquique and its terminals, as well as any assets it may possess. This includes all activities related to the port sector necessary for its proper fulfillment.
