Empresa Portuaria Chacabuco S.A. is a company located in Puerto Chacabuco. It was created by Law No. 19,542, published in the Official Gazette on December 19, 1997. The legal regime of the company is established by this law, which defines its attributions, rights, and obligations. The company is subject to the supervision of the Superintendence of Securities and Insurance and must comply with the financial, accounting, and tax regulations applicable to open anonymous societies. It began its activities on September 1, 1998, with the publication of Supreme Decree No. 199 on September 1, 1998, which appointed its first Board of Directors. Since 2017, the company has been responsible for the administration of the connectivity docks in Puerto Cisnes, Melinka, Puerto Aguirre, Raúl Marín Balmaceda, and Gala.
