La Sociedad Concesionaria Ruta del Bosque covers the stretch between Chillan (VIII Region) and Collipulli (IX Region) of Ruta 5 Sur, offering road safety and a comfortable travel experience for its users, as well as connecting the larger Urban centers of the Center and South of the country. In October 1997, the company Tribasa Cono Sur was awarded the concession of the Talca-Chillan stretch of Ruta 5 Sur. On June 10, 1998, Ruta del Bosque began operations and the opening to traffic took place in December 2000. In October 2006, Ruta del Bosque became part of Cintra Chile and in September 2010, the Colombian company ISA Acquired the concessions of Cintra Chile, which was then renamed to Interval Chile.
