Urbeluz Energetica S.A. is a company located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It was incorporated in 2005 as Urbeluz Engenharia e Iluminação Ltda., focusing on the design of projects and operational logistics primarily for the lighting sector. In 2007, with the arrival of new shareholders, the company transformed into a public limited company (S.A.) under the new name Urbeluz Engenharia e Iluminação S.A. With its new strategic planning, it became an important player in the public lighting market, particularly in the execution of energy efficiency projects and management of public lighting services. In 2010, the company changed its name to URBELUZ Energética S.A. and started to innovate in research, development, promotion, acquisition, implementation, and operation of businesses in the public lighting and energy efficiency sector. In 2014, the company signed the first Public Concession Contract in Brazil for energy efficiency in public lighting and buildings, utilizing highly efficient LED technology.
