Technos S.A. (Brazil)

Technos S.A. is a company located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is the largest watch company in Latin America and has been operating since 1956. The company develops, assembles, and distributes watches, both directly and through its subsidiaries. In the 1980s, Technos S.A. established an assembly plant in Manaus. Over the years, the company has diversified its portfolio to include other brands and market segments. In 2008, Technos S.A. had three nationally recognized brands targeting the middle class, including its own brand "Technos," as well as "Mormaii" and "Seiko" through licensing or distribution agreements. In 2009, the company added the "Euro" brand to its portfolio to enter the fashion segment, and in 2010, it relaunched the "Mariner" brand. In 2012, Technos S.A. acquired exclusive distribution rights for the "Timex" brand throughout Brazil, strengthening its position in the sports segment. The company also launched the "Allora" brand and acquired the "Touch" brand in 2012 to further enhance its presence in the fashion segment. In March 2013, Technos S.A. announced the acquisition of the Dumont Saab Group, adding new brands to its portfolio, including its own brands "Dumont" and "Condor," as well as licensed international brands from the Fossil Group such as "Fossil" and "Michael Kors." Currently, Technos S.A. has a portfolio of 10 well-positioned brands, including "Technos," "Condor," "Mormaii," "Euro," "Dumont," "Fossil," "Michael Kors," "Touch," "Allora," and "Mariner," catering to various customer profiles.
