Tam is an company that offers air transportation in Brazil and abroad. Established in 1986, Tam had as characteristic a strong participation in the domestic market. Until 1998, Tam didn't have international routes. The first one started in 1998, with the flights between São Paulo and Miami. One year later, another international flight started to operate: São Paulo - Paris. In June 17th 2005, the company finished a primary and secondary public offering of it's preferred stocks. On August 2010 the company anonces a merge with Lan Airlains to form a new south american company named Latam Airlines.
