Cooperativa de Eletrificação de Ibiúna e Região, also known as Cetril, is a company located in Ibiúna, São Paulo. It was incorporated on December 3, 1965, by a group of visionaries, mostly rural producers, who recognized the need for electricity in the rural and small towns of the region. Initially, Cetril faced challenges in distributing electricity to the remote neighborhoods of Ibiúna, as the existing power companies showed little interest due to low consumption potential and high installation and maintenance costs. However, with determination and a desire to make a difference, Cetril overcame these obstacles and became one of the most solid cooperatives in the state of São Paulo. Currently, Cetril serves over 28,000 consumers through three modern substations and an extensive electrical network spanning approximately 1,913.57 km. The company aims to continuously improve its services to contribute effectively to the development of the municipality, serving residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial sectors.
