Shell Bulgaria EAD is an international energy company with experience in oil and natural gas exploration, production, refining, and trading, as well as chemical production and trading. The company has been operating in Bulgaria since 1991 and has a chain of retail fuel stations and corporate clients through the euroShell Card service. In February 2016, Shell Exploration and Production signed a contract for oil and gas exploration in the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Black Sea. In 2017, the company expanded its business presence in Bulgaria by adding aviation fuel deliveries to its portfolio. Shell operates nearly 100 retail locations throughout Bulgaria, serving approximately 1 million customers each month. The company has opened seven new highway locations, joining the European network of Shell highway locations. These locations serve around 25,000 customers per hour in over 650 highway locations across Europe.
