Minstroy is a mining and construction company, which was initially established in 1952.
A total of 25% in Minstroy was sold against privatisation vouchers under Bulgaria's mass sell-off programme in 1996-97. In July 1999, Bulgaria's Privatisation Agency sold a 60% stake in the company to a management-employee buyout company for USD 1.1 million. Minstroy was later acquired by one of country's biggest private business groups MG Corporation (former Multigroup). In 2004 the company started the Hydro power project Tsankov Kamak, defined as the best deal of 2003 by the magazine Euromoney. It is situated on Vacha river and the construction includes a hydropower station and a dam.
The list of company activities features construction of buildings, infrastructure projects, utility projects, heavy and civil engineering construction, support services for the mining industry, production of lead and zinc concentrate.
