Mini Otkrit Vagledobiv EAD was established in 2002 as a 100% state-owned mining company. The open-cast coal mining complex is located in the town of Pernik. In 2005, Bulgaria's Privatisation Agency sold 100% stake in the company to local private firm Kornikom. In 2011, Seychelles-based company Amrafel became the sole owner of Mini Otkrit Vagledobiv.
