International Asset Bank is an universal bank with full license for domestic and international operations. The lender offers a wide range of banking services and products to retail and corporate clients, SMEs and municipalities and budget organizations.
International Asset Bank was first registered as a separate state-owned commercial bank in December 1989. In 1991, it was transformed into a private bank under the name of First East International Bank (FEIB). In November 1996, FEIB announced plans to seek a merger or to become part of a holding structure in a bid to expand its operations. The bank, which has over 650 shareholders, held merger talks with several banks but did not come to a final agreement. In February 2005, the bank changed its name to International Asset Bank, after a six-month stint as Unibank.
The lender operates through a network of more than 80 branches, representative offices and counters.
