ITX Bulgaria, formerly Zara Bulgaria, was set up in 2009 when Spanish multinational clothing company Inditex entered the Bulgarian market. Inditex is one of the world's largest fashion retailers with more than 6,000 stores worldwide. As of early 2012 the group operated 5 Zara stores and a total of 23 stores in Bulgaria.
