Citygas Bulgaria was established in 2004 as a fully-owned subsidiary of Italy-based Gruppo Societa Gas Rimini. The Bulgarian unit received its local license for the distribution and sale of natural gas in October 2006.
In 2011 its subsidiary - Citygas, which was acquired in 2010, merged into Citygas Bulgaria.
The company has gas distribution and supply licenses for the municipalities of Kardzhali, Pavel Banya, Gurkovo, Gabrovo, Trakiya, Silistra, Alfatar, Tutrakan, Dulovo and Glavinitsa.
