BH Air is a charter airline based in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was founded in 2001 by Yanko Ivanov and began operations in January 2002 with flights from Sofia to the United Kingdom for the needs of the tour operator "Balkan Holidays" - London. The main business of BH Air is passenger aviation transport through charter flights and aircraft leasing. The airline's main base is Sofia Airport, but during the summer season, flights are also operated from Burgas and Varna to multiple airports in Europe, mainly to the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, and others. One of the strategic steps in the airline's development was the signing of a two-year wet lease agreement with Virgin Airways in 2005, which led to the creation of a new airline in Africa - Virgin Nigeria. The same project was later implemented in Sri Lanka for the launch of a new national carrier, Mihin Lanka Airways. Additionally, the airline leases aircraft to many other European airlines. Currently, BH Air's fleet consists of 4 Airbus A320 aircraft with CFM/IAE engines. The airline also operates two business jets, Gulfstream G200 and Gulfstream G550, for VIP flights. BH Air has a highly motivated team of professionals. The core of the company has been in place since its establishment in 2001. From its first flight, the airline's main goal has been to maintain safety and standards that meet the requirements of the 21st century. BH Air offers its passengers comfort and excellent service.
