Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited (RSRM) is a steel manufacturing company located in the Baizid Bostami Industrial Area of Chittagong. It was established in January 1984 to meet the growing demand for high-quality M.S. deformed bars in the country. RSRM has become one of the leading steel manufacturers in Bangladesh and is known for its world-class products. The company has taken various initiatives to increase its production capacity, aiming to produce 1000 tons per day and 300,000 tons per year. To meet the demands of the global market, RSRM has incorporated advanced features in its facilities, including induction melting furnaces, a ladle refining furnace, a continuous casting plant, and rolling mills with automated features. The company also has ancillary facilities such as a main power sub-station, water complex for water supply, natural gas supply station, CNC machine-equipped machine shop, pollution control system, quality control unit, and cranes for material handling. RSRM's establishment was driven by the housing crisis caused by a population boom, which led to increased demand for construction projects and, consequently, their products. The success and goodwill of RSRM encouraged the Ratanpur Group to expand into other markets and contribute to the development of the country.
