The Company is mainly engaged in the manufacturing and sale of paints, varnishes and coatings. This forms the focus of the Company's internal reporting system. While the Company has clearly differentiated brands, segmentation within a wide portfolio of brands is not part of the regular internally reported financial information to the Chief Operating decision maker. Therefore, it is not possible to segment the Company's results by
brand without a high degree of estimation.

History :
1973 :The Company was incorporated in Bangladesh on 6 June, 1973 as a Private Limited Company.
1980: The name of the Company was changed from J N (Bangladesh) Limited to Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited on January 1, 1980.
2005 : The Company was converted into a Public Company limited by shares on June 21, 2005 with authorized 4000,000 shares at 100 par value.
The Company was listed on Dhaka stock exchange on December 27, 2005 and Chittagong stock exchanges on December 21, 2005.
The reporting period of the Company was changed to March from December.
