Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) is a state-owned company located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was incorporated on June 24, 2008, and became a public limited company on July 1, 2008. BSCCL oversees the operation and maintenance of submarine cables in Bangladesh, which connect the country to the International Information Superhighway. The company has an authorized capital of 1,000 crore taka and paid-up capital of 164.91 crore taka. BSCCL provides IP Transit services and is currently implementing a project to establish connectivity with SMW6, the country's third submarine cable. BSCCL has also been leasing bandwidth to India and other international organizations. The company plays a significant role in the development of Bangladesh's ICT infrastructure and overall economic growth.
