BNT Tvornica Masina Travnik (BNT/TMT) is a small engineering company, based in the town of Travnik, north of the Muslim-Croat federation capital Sarajevo.
The company was formerly part of Kombinat Bratstvo, a major state enterprise that existed since 1952.
BNT/TMT was formed as an independent entity in 1996 when Kombinat Bratstvo was split into several units.
BNT Tvornica Masina Travnik manufactures a wide range of tools including winches for forestry work and engineered parts such as straight and oblique gears, splints, presses and prop shafts.
The company's main target markets include the metal and wood processing, mining and electricity distribution industries.
Its machine hall, land and buildings span over some 52,000 square metres.
The total capital of the company stood at KM 10.79 million in mid-2004.
BNT/TMT holds a 36% stake in BOSS d.o.o., an enterprise that assembles PVC doors, windows and automatic sliding doors under license from a German company.
In July 2004, the federation sell-off agency announced an international tender for the sale of 67% in the BNT/TMT.
The remaining state-owned equity will most likely be sold by through a Public Offering of Shares (POS) at a later date.
