Bosnia's Boksit bauxite mine, founded in 1960, is based near the eastern town of Milici in the Serb Republic. In September 2003, Boksit was the first company in the Serb Republic to get a government concession for a state-owned mine. The concession is for 30 years and in exchange the company transfers KM 1.0 million annually to the state budget. The company is also active in civil engineering, transport, catering and metal engineering.
