The Company is a based battery metals focused mineral explorer. The Company focus is to explorar for and develop critical metals. Its portfolio is focused on Western Australia.
The company explores for lithium, caesium, tantalum, manganese, nickel-copper sulphide, zinc, lead, silver, gold, sediment-hosted base metals. It holds interests in the Tambourah Lithium project that comprises
two exploration licenses located to the south-east of Pilgangoora lithium mine site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia; Hendeka Manganese project located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia; Pincunah project, which includes the Valley of the Gossans prospect located to the south of Port Hedland and west of the Sulphur Springs; and Jimblebar nickel-copper project located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
HISTORY
2004 The Company was incorporated on March 29, 2004 in Bermuda and listing on 21 July 2004 on Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange (AIM) under the ticker code ZRL .
2007 On 5 July 2007, the Company is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange under ticker code ZRL .
2009 The Company was delisted from AIM on 1 June 2009.
2017 On 18 January 2017, the company has changed its name from ZAMBEZI RESOURCES LIMITED (ASX Code: ZRL) to TREK METALS LIMITED (Asx Code: TKM).

2019 On 15 April 2019, the Company announced the divestment of the Kangaluwi Copper Project (KCP) in Zambia via the sale of its wholly owned subsidiary, Mwembeshi Resources (Bermuda) Limited (MRBL)
which ultimately holds the KCP.
The Group fully impaired the value of the asset in previous financial years whilst waiting for written judgement from the Lusaka High Court on the validity of the mining license originally issued by relevant government departments in Zambia.
The divestment removes all ongoing liabilities, royalties, holding and legal costs associated with the KCP and associated subsidiaries from the Group.
