P. Browne & Cia. S.C. is a company located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was incorporated in 1919 by Patrick B. Browne as Cowes & Browne. In the 1940s, under the leadership of James Patrick Browne, the company changed its name to Browne & Co. and began providing claims settlement services in the Maritime and Transportation sector to foreign insurers, correspondents, and local insurance companies. In the 1980s, under the direction of Peter William Browne, the American Institute of Marine Underwriters (AIMU) appointed P. Browne & Cia. S.C. as its exclusive correspondent for Argentina.
