The National Marine Dredging Company was established in 1976 as a sector of Abu Dhabi National Petroleum Company. It was then established as a shareholding independent company according to the Emiri Law No.10 of the year 1979. The company is primarily engaged in the execution of dredging contracts and associated land reclamation works in the territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, under the directives of the Government of Abu Dhabi. The company`s fleet consists of an array of Cutter Suction Dredgers (CSD); ranging in capacity from the small Beaver dredger Jananah (1,795 KW) to thehir most powerful automated dredger the Al Sadr (20,725 KW). Among the company`s projects is Sir Baniyas Island, Mangroves, Al Bahr Palace Channel,Suwa Island, Mussafah Canal Project and Zakum Project.
